{"id":10,"date":"2008-03-06T22:26:23","date_gmt":"2008-03-07T05:26:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.26.13.199:8000\/recipes\/?p=10"},"modified":"2018-08-19T17:10:12","modified_gmt":"2018-08-19T22:10:12","slug":"banana-creme-caramel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.concordiabeulah.org\/recipes\/?p=10","title":{"rendered":"Banana Creme Caramel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\">2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 5 bananas)<br \/>\none 14 ounce can evaporated skimmed milk<br \/>\n1 cup fat free egg substitute<br \/>\n1\/3 cup golden rum<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1\/2 tablespoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 cup sugar <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\"> Preheat the oven to 325<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\"> In a large bowl combine the bananas condensed milk evaporated milk<br \/>\negg substitute rum and vanilla whisk until well blended and frothy<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\"> In a small heavy bottomed sauce pan combine the sugar and 3 tablespoons water over high<br \/>\ncook stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves 1-2 min reduce the heat to medium and swirling the<br \/>\npan occasionally (do not stir) until the mixture has become a very thin liquid and is caramel brown<br \/>\n7-10 min pour the caramel syrup into two 4-cup glass bowls or souffle swirling to coat the bottoms and part way<br \/>\nup the sides. Pour the banana mixture into the bowls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;\"> Put the bowls into a large baking dish; add enough hot water to the baking dish too come up the sides<br \/>\nof the bowls. Bake until the custards are set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about<br \/>\n1 1\/2 hours.
